First step is to insure you have downloaded the latest version of CardExchange Producer. You can do that by downloading directly from the CardExchange website with the below link:
CardExchange Producer Download
- Once the file has been downloaded, we want to run the .exe file. (Note: You will need to have admin rights to do this)
- Double Click on the file cegatewayfull 1.4.2.6. The following screen/ prompt may come up.
- Click on ' Run anyway'
- Click ' Ok' when the next pop box appears.
CardExchange will now begin to extract and install.
You will now be greeted with the below menu. We want to select ' Local Installation' at the top.
Next Click on Install Gateway
- Select the Appropriate Language
Depending on your PC and what is currently installed, CardExchange may need to download and Install the Microsoft Office 2010 Database Engine.
Simply click ' Install' and the installer will do the rest.
Now the InstallShield Wizard will run and the installation will proceed. Click ' Next'
You will be required to accept the License Agreement. Once accepted, click next.
We highly recommend allowing 'all user's' to have access to CardExchange. User name and organisation name are optional.
The default directory for Installation is: C:\program files (x86)\CardExchange Solutions\ CardExchange Gateway\
We recommend keeping the default as it allows for easier support and troubleshooting if you run into troubles later on and need our assistance.
Click Next again
Like the main installation files. We strongly recommend keeping the default directory for the data files. Again allowing easier troubleshooting and support from our tech team in the future.
The default is: C:\Users\Public\Documents\CardExchnage\Data\
Click Next
Select the Typical Install. And Click Next
Click Install. And the program will begin its installation
Now click ' Finish'
You can now Exit and Close the CardExchange Gateway Suite Page
You will now see the CardExchange icon on your desktop.
- Double Click on the icon to open the software.
- You will now be met with another screen for setting up which software program opens when the icon is clicked. Here we are going to specify that we're using 'Producer' which is the ID card software.
- Make sure to select the drop down box next to CardExchange Producer and select ' Enabled'
- Select the dropdown box next to CardExchange Visitor and select ' Hidden'
- Next Select the ' Activate' Link next to CardExchange Producer. This is where we will insert the Serial Number and Activation Code.
If you wish to activate later, and simply use the demo mode. Select the version of the software you wish to evaluate and click ok.
When Activating, you will get the below screen. Insert the Serial number and Activation provided and click activate.
