Changing XID Network Address in EdiConnect

If your XID ReTransfer card printer has been setup on a network connection using DHCP, and the network address changes (due to power outage, server rest or other reason) then you may need to point the printer driver to the new address path/location.

To do this:

First we need to check the IP address on the printer.

  • Press the Menu button on the LCD.

  • Continue to press 'Next' until you see the menu item 'Network' - And then press 'Enter' (Middle button).

  • Continue to press the 'Next button' until you come to 'IPv4' and then Setting -> IP Address. Take note of the address.

Next, open the EdiConnect Administration Centre.

  • Select the printer in the production line group (usually its the only printer setup on a system, so it will be selected by default).

  • Click on 'Edit Line Ports '- Then you will see where the IP address is set. Change this to the new IP address of the printer. Then Click 'OK'
